A couple of weeks ago i decided to do what my family did when i was a kid and take my family for a ride. not knowing where we would end up but we eventually endened up in the west deseret about an hour from our house. Chandra said that she had no idea that this place existed and that it was very pretty. i really love living in the desert and i hope Chandra does too. the pictures are from the old pony express station close to the dugway proving grounds just left of the middle of know where. We saw some historic sites and had a spectacular view or the desert sunset as well with plenty of wildlife.

Year in Review
So since the last year flew by without us posting a single thing, I thought I would show some of our highlights. Holidays, Globe Trotters, Maxx learning to ride a bike, Nascar, Birthdays, baby chicks, Emma's cavity, Thanksgiving Point visits, visits to Valmy, horse & pony rides, baby CJ, little league football, demolition derby, first day of school and Colton's 1st place win at state 4H. These are but a few events we should have documented individually but...
We will be sure to keep the blog up to date going forward.

Our First Anniversary
Its been one year since this picture was taken. One year. Still hard for me to believe because it has gone by so quickly. But its just like they say, time flies when you're having fun. Maybe someday I'll be smarter than "they" are and find a way to slow down time so that I can relish even more in my new found life.
In thinking about about the last year I've come to one realization. It isn't what happens to you, or the circumstances you're given that make the difference. It's who you choose to go through these experiences with that matters. That person is the difference. I know this because it isn't like this last year was somehow easier than any other. I can think of years when I've had fewer challenges. I just never had a partner like Chad before. Someone whose fearless yet focused. Someone who doesn't worry about whether or not something can be done, but rather which way is the best way to get it done. Who understands that ultimately success or failure is unimportant if we don't come through it together.
This is the person I chose to build my life around. A person that isn't afraid of living life to its fullest, gives without expecting anything in return and always speaks from the heart. This is my wonderfully fantastic giving caring man. I am simply the lucky one.

Me and Chandra
We recently went to my sisters house for her birthday party. I had been talking with Chandra about how it felt to be on a bike. when we got to Kellie's house Linson (my brother in law) tossed me the keys to his chopper. I helped Chandra put her helmet on and we went on a short ride thru the neighborhood. The picture here is the result of the ride. I think I can safely say she had a great time and enjoyed the short ride.
